Farm Fresh 5K
The Farm Fresh 5K is a road running event held in the Bethel community of Waynesville, North Carolina. This fourth edition of the race marks a return of road racing to this area of Haywood County. The race starts and finishes at the Haywood Christian Ministries headquarters located at 5095 Old River Road.
The event consists of a single distance:

The course features one water station located approximately halfway through the route. To ensure safety and navigation, volunteers are stationed at every turn, and directional signs are placed throughout the course. Police personnel are positioned at key intersections, and participants are instructed to stay on the right side of the road.
The race utilizes chip timing, with the timing chip attached to the back of the race bib. Participants receive a custom race shirt and a secondary item themed around the farm fresh concept. Post-race water and light snacks are available for participants near the finish line. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over.
Parking is available on the grounds of the Haywood Christian Ministries headquarters. All proceeds from the event support local efforts to address hunger and poverty, including food access programs and small farm support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
