Pisgah 5k Run : event details
The Pisgah 5k Run is scheduled for early May 2026 and is held at Pisgah Elementary School, 1495 Pisgah Highway, Candler, NC 28715, US. The event distance is 5 km. The registration fee is listed as $30. Packet pick up and onsite registration are available at Pisgah Elementary School on the day before and on race day. A custom race t-shirt is included with entry for those who register before April 19, 2025; t-shirt quantities are limited and shown during registration.
Purpose, awards and categories
The event raises funds to hire a part-time teaching assistant for a 2nd grade class at Pisgah Elementary to support small group reading lessons and reduce teacher workload. Top three overall male and female finishers receive a custom race medal and a cash award: 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers within each age group; overall winners are not eligible for an age group award. Age groups range from 1-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, and 75+. Sponsors and event service providers are listed by the organizer.
