Farm Fresh 5K, 10K, and Kids Fun Run at Miller Plant Farm
This event offers three trail race distances on Miller Plant Farm in York, PA. The courses combine paved and stone surfaces with grassy farm and wooded trails. The new 10K route passes under a low-clearance bridge and crosses a muddy creek twice, and runners see views of the Leader Heights region of Southern York County.
Race policies include no strollers or pets on the course, discouraged earphone use, and no cell phone use or texting while running or walking. Ambulance and medical technician support will be available at the start/finish line. Organizers encourage participants in the 5K and 10K to be at least 8 years of age.
Packet pick-up is offered the day before the race and on race morning at the garden center at Miller Plant Farm. Online registration is available until July 30; paper registration forms are accepted in-store until Saturday, August 1 at 7:30 AM. Overall winners, male and female, and top age group winners in the 5K and 10K receive prizes. All 5K and 10K participants receive a Miller Plant Farm produce sampler; the kids fun run is excluded from that sampler.
The event is organized by a volunteer-driven nonprofit fund established in early 2019 to support cancer patients. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund and, since 2017, more than $300,000 has been donated to that fund.
