Event Overview
The FAME Fun 5K Run/Walk is an event organized by FAME, the Fund for Advancement of Minorities Through Education. It is the 4th annual edition. The event supports educational resources and scholarships for FAME Scholars and FAME Academy students.
Event Details
The in-person events are held at Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge in Plum, Pennsylvania.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 5K (chip-timed for in-person participants)
- 1 Mile Walk (untimed)
- FAME Families 5k
- FAME Families 1 Mile
- VIRTUAL - FAME 5k
- VIRTUAL - FAME 1 Mile
Race day registration is available on-site from 7:00 am to 8:45 am.
Amenities and Awards
All in-person participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt. Post-race food, drinks, and snacks are provided.
Awards are given for the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are also presented across categories ranging from 11 and under to 70+. A custom finisher's medal is included for all participants.
Virtual Participation
A virtual option allows participants to complete their chosen distance from a location of their choice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
