Event overview
The 35th Annual YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Turkey Trot presented by UPMC Health Plan takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA (810 River Avenue). The event benefits YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Course maps are provided for the one-mile, 5K, 5 Mile, and all courses.

Logistics and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled on November 25 and November 26 at PNC Park (Media Entrance) and on race day at PNC Park (Mazeroski Way Loading Dock). Free parking will be available on race day. There are no shuttles and no gear check; participants should leave personal gear in their vehicles. Race shirts are provided; a finisher's medal is available for purchase. Only bananas and water will be handed out during the event.
Age and participation rules: children 4 and younger register free; ages 5-18 receive a 50% discount; the minimum age for the 5 Mile and Double Gobble is 12 years. The course pace limit is 20 minutes per mile. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted only in the one-mile event. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. Dogs are permitted only in the one-mile event; service animals require prior arrangement by November 21, 2025.
Safety and conduct: participants must follow race, medical, and police officials. The organizer maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or other conduct that infringes an inclusive environment. Donation collection points are available at packet pickup and race morning; early donors at pickup and on race day receive a limited promotional item.
