Kiski Valley Turkey Trot
The Kiski Valley Turkey Trot is a community running event held at Kunkle Park in Apollo, PA on 11/26/2026. It offers an in-person 5K race and a 1-mile fun run for families and community members.
Available distances:
- 5K certified out-and-back course at Kunkle Park.
- 1 Mile fun run within the park, not timed.
The 5K is digitally timed by Miles for Smiles and awards are presented at a closing ceremony; participants must be present to receive awards. The 1-mile fun run is not timed and takes place inside the park. Snacks and water are provided for participants.
Registration opens 8/30/2026 and closes 11/24/2026. Different registration options guarantee event apparel if registered by midnight 11/16/2026: regular event T-shirts for one price tier and premium hoody sweatshirts for another. Fees vary by distance and apparel option.
Race packet pickup is available the evening before the event and on race morning. All registrations are non-refundable. The organizer may move on-site registrants to a virtual format if public health authorities in the CDC or Pennsylvania restrict participant numbers; moved registrants retain apparel and remain eligible for virtual contests.
