The False Spring Trail Runs take place Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Soldiers Memorial Park Trailhead on Lake Shore Dr, LaPorte, Indiana. Distances offered:

- 10K
Registration closes Saturday, March 21 at 11:59 PM CT. Cut-off times are published for the event: Half runners must leave the halfway point by 11:00 AM, and there is an overall cut-off at the finish of 1:00 PM. The organizer, Trailblazer Running, offers special age-based pricing for runners 19 and under. Listed race fees are $20 for the 10K, $30 for the Half, and $20 for the Half relay, with a limited number of free youth entries available by request.
Entrants may register as Male, Female, or Non-Binary. The top three male and top three female finishers at each distance receive podium awards; there is no additional awarding in the non-binary category. A fund is available to waive entry fees for eligible runners who cannot afford registration.
Course and policies
The course uses woodsy single-track with winding switchbacks and multiple views of lakes and ponds. The trail system is split into two loops - one about 2 miles and the other 4+ miles. The 10K follows one full loop; the Half consists of two laps. The course includes elevation changes and is not flat. Post-race festivities take place at the finish area.
The event has a pregnancy and new-child deferral policy that allows deferment of entry up to two years for participants who become pregnant after registering or who have a recent newborn; the race may require proof and asks that deferment requests be made at least one week before race day.
