Event overview
The I Love Coffee 5k Road Run and Walk is a community event held at Hawthorne Park Community Center, 500 Ackerman Drive, Porter, Indiana. Course and timing
The course uses town streets and a paved bike trail. It follows a loop through a subdivision and then returns along the same route. The route is marked with flags and arrow signs at major turns. Roads are not closed to traffic, so participants should use caution. Timing is handled manually: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick and must return that number to a volunteer inside the community center.
Entries, awards, and extras
Runners and walkers receive a limited-edition t-shirt while supplies last. If shirts are no longer available, registrants receive a winter hat and gloves instead. Coffee hats are available for purchase in the community center for $10. Each participant receives one raffle ticket; additional tickets can be purchased for $1. The raffle features Deathwish Coffee items and winners must be present to claim prizes. Medals are awarded to overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age group.
