Event overview
I Love Coffee 5k Road Run and Walk is scheduled for January 17, 2026 at Hawthorne Park Community Center, 500 Ackerman Drive, Porter, Indiana 46304. The event includes a 5 km road run and a non-competitive 5k walk.
The course uses town streets and a paved bike trail. Participants will run a loop in a subdivision and then repeat the same route back. The course is marked with flags and arrow signs at major turns; roads are not closed to traffic and participants should use caution.
Participant information
Runners and walkers receive a limited-edition t-shirt while supplies last; when shirts are no longer available the event will provide a winter hat and gloves instead. Coffee hats are available for purchase in the community center for $10. All participants receive one raffle ticket; additional tickets may be purchased for $1. The raffle features Deathwish Coffee items and winners must be present to claim prizes.
Timing is manual: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick and must return that stick to a volunteer inside the community center. There is no formal awards ceremony; medals are awarded to the overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age group.
