Fallen Heroes 5 Miler
The Fallen Heroes 5 Miler takes place on July 4, 2026 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with the start and finish located on the track at James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Avenue. The event program includes the Fallen Heroes 5 Miler and Ainsley's Angels 5 Miler.
The race is presented by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes, a local non-profit that provides support to veterans and first responders in the community. It is the seventh race in the 2026 Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix series managed by the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Lucky Road Run Shop, 1865 Carl D. Silver Parkway. Race-day packet pickup is available in the James Monroe High School parking lot between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Race-day registration is permitted up until 7:00 a.m. on July 4.
Entry fees vary by registration date: $35 (Feb 17–June 7), $40 (June 8–July 2), and $45 (July 3–4). T-shirts are provided to participants who register by June 7; extra shirts are available for purchase for $20 with limited supply. There will be two water stations on course. Restrooms at the high school will be open and parking at the school is free. Awards will be given to overall male and female 1st through 3rd and by age groups; two $50 gift cards will be awarded for best male and best female patriotic outfits. No finisher medals are provided.
