Fallen Heroes 5 Miler
The Fallen Heroes event features a 5 Miles in-person road race through the downtown streets of Fredericksburg, with the start area at James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Avenue, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. The event is hosted by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes, a local non-profit that provides support to veterans and first responders, and is part of the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Series with the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.
The event program includes an in-person running race, a wheelchair riders-only Ainsley’s Angels 5 Miler, and a Virtual 5 Miler option. The main in-person entry fee is $35.00; all fees are nonrefundable.
Packet pickup is available on two days before the event at Lucky Road Run Shop, 1865 Carl D. Silver Parkway, and packets are also available on race day for a charge to previously registered participants. To receive a free event shirt the organizer states a registration deadline; extra shirts will be sold on the day of the event for $20.00 while supplies last.
Age-group awards are listed for standard brackets, and overall awards are presented in both the men's and women's divisions for first through third place. Two prizes of $100.00 each are awarded for the best patriotic outfit, one male and one female. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
