Event Description
The Fall Colours Run is a two-day running event held in Cumberland Village. Saturday features the 1 km Turkey Trot (for kids 12 and under) and Wedding Dress Dash, as well as a 3 km run. Sunday offers standard distances: 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km (Half Marathon), and 42.2 km (Marathon). Additionally, two combination challenges are available: the 5K & 10K Challenge and the 10K & 21.1K Challenge.
The course is described as very scenic, running through the historic village of Cumberland to enjoy the fall colours. The marathon is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier. The start and finish line for all races is at the Cumberland Heritage Museum, a museum depicting rural life during the 1920s and 1930s.
Practical Details
Registration includes a personalized race bib, a closed course (local traffic only), professional timing, on-course nutrition, and race photography. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each event. Post-race snacks are provided.
Shuttle buses operate between the museum and an OC Transpo Park N Ride location on Trim Road. Online registration closes on October 6th at 6 pm. The marathon has a 7-hour cutoff time (by 3 pm). Bib pickup is available on-site on Saturday and Sunday morning. Live music and food/drink vendors are scheduled for both days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
