Fall Colours Run - Buckingham
The Fall Colours Run is a two-day sporting event held in historic Cumberland Village, Ontario. The course is known for its seasonal scenery and passes through the Cumberland Heritage Museum, which serves as the host venue for the start and finish lines, as well as the final kilometre of every race. This event offers certified courses that serve as qualifiers for the Boston and New York Marathons.
The schedule includes a wide variety of race distances:
- 1 km Turkey Trot (for ages 12 and under)
- 1 km Wedding Dress Dash
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half-Marathon (21.1 km)
- Marathon (42.2 km)
Two challenge options are available for those wishing to complete multiple distances: the 5K & 10K Challenge and the 10K & 21.1K Challenge. The marathon event has a 7-hour cut-off time.
The races take place on closed roads with local traffic only. Participants receive professional timing, a personalized race bib, and on-course nutrition. Post-race snacks and podium prizes for top finishers are provided. To facilitate access, shuttle buses operate between the museum site and nearby OC Transpo Park N Ride locations.
