Event Overview

The 5K Foam Fest is an obstacle course event held at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, Ontario. The course covers a distance of 5 km and features 25 different obstacles designed to incorporate foam, water, and mud. The event is hosted in support of Make-A-Wish Canada.

Participants encounter a variety of obstacles throughout the course, including:

  • An inflatable waterslide and multiple slip and slides
  • Mucky mud pits and mud crawls
  • The Cargo Climb and Chamber of Foam
  • The Lily Pads and the DD Mega Slide
  • The Corkscrew and Wipeout Wonderland

The event utilizes 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, distributed at various points including the start and finish lines. Amenities available on-site include a festival area with a live DJ, food vendors, and a licensed beer garden. For families, a Kids Free Fun Zone is provided, along with shaded areas and water stations.

Registered participants receive several items as part of their entry:

  • A finishers medal and a 5K Foam buff
  • A string bag and a festival wristband
  • A temporary tattoo and access to a low-resolution finish photo
  • Access to a rinse station after the run

The venue at 401 Corkstown Rd provides gear check services for a donation. While spectators can attend free of charge, participants are encouraged to bring photo identification, a change of clothes, and cash for on-site purchases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
