Fairhill Five Mile Road Race
Ballymena Runners is organising the Fairhill 5 mile road race on 4 June 2026. The event is sponsored by Fairhill Shopping Centre and takes place around the Fairhill Centre and Ballymena Showgrounds. Participants must be 16 or older. Entries are currently full and a waiting list exists.
Race packs will be available for collection on Sunday 31 May 2026, 13:00-17:00, at the Fairhill Centre, with additional pack collection on the night from 16:30-18:30 in the Fairhill Centre. There are strictly no refunds or deferrals. Transfers or name changes can be made online until 25 May 2026.
All finishers receive a bespoke commemorative medal on finishing. Cash prizes are offered for open places and age categories, with prizes distributed immediately after the event in the Des Allen Suite. Results will be published after the race.
The route starts at the Broughshane Road entrance to the Fairhill Centre, enters the Ballymena FC Showgrounds via Suffolk Street and Summerfield Street, then exits left onto St Patricks Way and turns right into Ecos Park. The course continues through the park to just over the four mile mark, then exits onto St Patricks Way for a finish outside the new Northern Regional College on Suffolk Street. Runners are asked to adhere to marshal instructions and take care near the speed ramps on Suffolk Street and Summerfield Street.
Free car parking is available at the Fairhill Centre and in the Ballymena Showgrounds car park; parking beside the after-race event is at the Des Allen Suite. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
