Antrim Castle Gardens

Antrim Castle Gardens event is scheduled for 6 February 2027 at Antrim Castle Gardens, Randalstown Road, Antrim BT41 4LH. It forms the fifth race in the Run Forest Run Series and offers two measured distances.

• 5K mainly within Antrim Castle Gardens; small section on the Main Road.
• 10K route includes Shanes Castle ruins and views of Lough Neagh, returns via the gardens.

The race starts in the grounds of the gardens and the 10K route passes the ruins of Shanes Castle before returning through the maintained gardens and woodland at Castle Gardens. The 5K course is largely inside the gardens with a short road section.

Entry fees are shown as £30 for the 5K and 10K, with an early bird rate of £28 if registered before 2 December 2026. Junior rates are listed as £23 for 5K (ages 11 to 17) and £23 for 10K (ages 15 to 17), with a junior early bird rate of £21. Registration is online; processing fees may apply. All race packs will be posted to participants and are expected to arrive by 4 February 2027. Postal options for Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland incur separate small charges.

Practical notes: there are no parking facilities at the gardens; public car parks are available at Antrim Marina and in Antrim town centre. Toilet facilities are in the courtyard behind Clotworthy House, the Garden Coffee Shop, portable toilets near the start area, and at Lough Shore Car Park. There will be no water station on course, so participants should carry water if required. Pets are not allowed and the course is not suitable for buggies. Regular running shoes are appropriate for the terrain. Entry includes a Run Forest Run medal, individual chip timing, race number, and complimentary post race refreshments.
