About the race
Antrim Castle Gardens hosts a winter road and trail event that is part of the Run Forest Run series. The event offers two measured race distances and starts and finishes within the grounds of Antrim Castle Gardens, Randalstown Road, Antrim BT41 4LH.
The course options are:
- 5K Mainly in the gardens with a short section on the Main Road.
- 10K Route includes the ruins of Shanes Castle and views of Lough Neagh.
Entry is online only for the Winter Series, with an early bird fee available before 2 December 2026. Standard entry fees and junior rates apply; race packs are posted to participants and should arrive by 4 February 2027. Race entries include a Run Forest Run medal, individual chip timing, a race number, and complimentary post-race refreshments.
Practical details: there is no parking for runners at Antrim Castle Gardens; public car parks are available at Antrim Marina and in Antrim town; toilet facilities are provided in the main courtyard, the Garden Coffee Shop, nearby portaloos, and at the Lough Shore Car Park. There will be no water stations on course so participants should carry water if required. Pets are not allowed and the course is not suitable for buggies.
