The event is organised by Eyemouth Development Trust (a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, SCIO SC045880) and uses a certified 5k route verified by Scottish Athletics. The 5k will use chip timing and finishers receive a medal. All participants in the 5k and Fun Runs receive a goodie bag and an ice cream sponsored by Giacopazzi's Gelato. Registration is handled outside Giacopazzi's Gelato on Harbour Road, which is next to the start and finish. Entries are online only.

The 5k course starts and finishes at Giacopazzi's Gelato on Harbour Road, follows Harbour Road and Victoria Road, passes the High School and a new road around the golf course, includes a section of about 600 m on the golf club road before doubling back, and returns along Harbour Road. Crossing junctions at The Avenue, Stebbings Rise and the car park on the new road are marshalled. The route crosses a red bridge onto the middle pier; participants are asked to take care because it is a working harbour. A course map will be available at registration and on the event Facebook page.
Health and safety notes: headphones are prohibited, competitors must provide emergency contact details on their race number, marshals will be present at junctions, and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is limited at the Harbour Road car park; additional parking is listed at Eyemouth Co-op, the leisure centre and Victoria Road. Public toilets are available at the co-op car park and there are no changing facilities. Standard entry fees are listed for members, non-members, juniors and mini runs.
