John Muir Way 50 km Ultra
The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon is a 50 km race that follows the John Muir Way across East Lothian. The route begins at Port Seton Promenade and follows coastal stretches, rural landscape and woodland trails through towns and villages including Aberlady, Gullane and North Berwick. The race finishes at Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar.
Race registration and parking take place at Foxlake Adventures, where cars may be left for the duration of the event. Transport from the finish area to the race start at Port Seton is included with entry. Race results from previous years are published after the event.
The event organiser operates policies for cancellation and participant withdrawal. In extreme weather the race may be cancelled and, where possible, rescheduled; entries can be transferred to a rescheduled date or carried forward under certain conditions and partial refunds are available in some circumstances. For participant withdrawal before the event, transfers via the entry system incur a £10 administration fee; refunds are subject to a sliding scale depending on how close to the event the request is made, and no refunds are given within 14 days of the event.
Volunteers support course checkpoints, registration, water stations, start and finish areas, and setup and take down. Marshals receive a race memento and a donation to their club or charitable group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
