Lindisfarne Marathon and Half Marathon 2027
The event takes place on Sunday 8 August 2027 on Holy Island (Lindisfarne) and surrounding coast near Spittal, Northumberland. Runners follow coastal and inland paths between Holy Island and Spittal on routes that remain unchanged from 2026, with marked courses, aid stations and medical cover provided along the way.
Distances offered:
- Marathon: Holy Island to Spittal and back
- Half marathon: Spittal to Holy Island
Entries are limited: 150 marathon places and 400 half marathon places. Age restrictions apply: marathon entrants must be 18 or older on race day, half marathon entrants 17 or older. Entry fees listed for 2027 are £50 for the marathon and £32 for the half marathon; an optional one-way coach transfer for half marathon runners costs £8 and can be added at entry. Commemorative T-shirts are available to order during entry for collection at the event.
Race services included with entry are finisher medals, chip timing, signed routes, aid stations with water roughly every three miles (half marathon stations at miles 3, 6 and 9), first aid and age-category awards. Practical information covers baggage transfer for the half, posted bib packs for marathon entrants, parking at the Holy Island visitor car park and toilet availability at the start and finish.
