EverGreen Pumpkin Run
The EverGreen Pumpkin Run takes place at EverGreen Cemetery in Jacksonville on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 10 Mile - USATF certified and the official Jacksonville Grand Prix event
- 5K - USATF certified; includes Jacksonville Grand Prix scoring for younger age groups
The courses run through cemetery grounds lined with pumpkins and through stately oak and magnolia trees, providing about 90 percent shade. All miles and turns are marked, with digital clocks at most miles. The 10 mile has a 3 hour time limit. Finisher medals are awarded for both the 10 mile and the 5K, and participants receive a long-sleeve technical race shirt.
Awards include prize money for the top three overall men and women in the 10 mile, masters prize, and age-group awards for both distances; the 5K also includes awards for younger age groups. A Halloween costume contest offers gift card prizes for Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, and Best Overall Costume. Runners may take one pumpkin per person after the 10 mile race concludes. Free food and drink are provided after the race.
Packet pickup is available at selected 1st Place Sports locations the Friday and Saturday before the event. Entry fees vary by date and there are no refunds.
