EverGreen Pumpkin Run
The EverGreen Pumpkin Run takes place at EverGreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event offers two certified race distances:
- 10 mile
- 5K
Both courses are USATF certified (10 mile FL20021JK, 5K FL20020JK) and run through oak and magnolia trees, making them about 90 percent shaded. Pumpkins line the 5K course and the portion of the 10 mile course inside the cemetery. Participants receive a long-sleeve technical race shirt and finisher medals for both distances. Digital clocks mark most miles and all miles and turns are signed. The 10 mile has a three hour time limit.
Awards for the 10 mile include prize money for the top three men and women and a masters prize. Age group awards are given for multiple male and female age categories. The 5K presents awards for overall finishers and age group places, including 10 and under and 11-13 divisions. The 10 and under age group is counted for Jacksonville Grand Prix scoring; the 10 mile is the official Jacksonville Grand Prix event.
A Halloween costume contest awards a $25 1st Place Sports gift card in three divisions: Scariest, Funniest, and Best Overall. The event benefits the Jacksonville Historical Society and The Evergreen Cemetery Association.
