EverGreen Pumpkin Run
EverGreen Pumpkin Run is set at EverGreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event offers two distances and is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series for scoring purposes.

- 5K
The 10 mile and 5K courses are USATF certified (10 mile FL20021JK; 5K FL20020JK). Both routes run through stands of oak and magnolia trees and are described as about 90 percent shaded. Pumpkins line the courses; participants in the ten mile event may take one pumpkin home after the race, with a limit of one pumpkin per person. All miles and turns are marked and digital clocks are located at most miles. The 10 mile has a three hour time limit.
Finisher medals are awarded to participants in both distances, and all participants receive a long sleeve technical race shirt. The 10 mile offers prize money for the top three men and women overall: 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100, plus 1st Masters $50. Age group awards are presented to the top three in standard 5-year brackets from 19 and under through 80 plus. The 5K also awards top overall finishers and age group places including 10 and under and 11-13.
A Halloween costume contest awards $25 1st Place Sports gift cards for Scariest, Funniest, and Best Overall costumes. The event benefits the Jacksonville Historical Society and The Evergreen Cemetery Association.
Packets are available at select 1st Place Sports stores on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24; packets move to the race site for race day pickup. Parking is available inside and outside the cemetery. Free food and drink are served after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
