The Baldwin Group Corporate Run, Jacksonville
The Baldwin Group Corporate Run is a team oriented 5K in Jacksonville for businesses and not for profit organizations. Companies form teams to run or walk together and compete in multiple divisions. The event supports local high school cross country and track teams, summer camp scholarships, and the construction of a three mile running trail at Aterro Recreation Park on Sunbeam Road.
Team scoring uses the chip times of the top four finishers from each company. At least one of the four scoring finishers must be female and all scoring members must work a minimum of 20 hours per week; employment is subject to verification. There are 14 team divisions and additional awards including top male and female finishers, CEO competition, team spirit awards, and a t shirt contest with categories for Most Original Design, Most Colorful, and Most Creative Use of Logo.
Logistics for teams include packet pickup in advance at 1st Place Sports or pickup on race day, or courier delivery for a fee. Team tents and spaces are available for rent with listed starting prices for tents and 10 by 10 spaces. Up to 10 percent of a team s participants may be seeded into the front corral, with a maximum of 25 seeded runners. Water and aid stations are placed at the start, midpoint, and finish.
