Oktoberfest Beer and Brats 5K
The event offers two distances through the tree lined streets of San Marco. It includes chip timing with live results and age group awards across multiple divisions from 10 and under to 80 and over. Prize money is awarded to the top three men and top three women overall, with payouts of $200, $150 and $100.
Participants receive a designer race shirt, an official custom beer mug, and a finisher medal. After finishing, each participant is entitled to a free beer and a bratwurst; beer will be served in souvenir plastic beer mugs. Tepeyolot Cerveceria Brewery at 2130 Kings Ave will brew a special Festbier for the event. Oom-Pah-pah music will be featured and Marathon Photos Live will take individual finish line pictures available for viewing and purchase.
Packet pickup is available at selected 1st Place Sports locations on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 with unclaimed packets available on race day at San Marco Square starting at 3:30 PM. The start and finish are in San Marco Square at the large inflatable, and the route follows scenic, tree lined streets in San Marco. Participants are invited to wear traditional Tracht such as a dirndl or lederhosen. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
