Event Overview
The Oktoberfest Beer and Brats 5K is an evening run/walk event held in San Marco Square. It features a 5K and a one-mile course that goes through the scenic, tree-lined streets of the San Marco neighborhood.
Event Details
All participants receive a race t-shirt, a custom plastic beer mug, and a finisher medal. After finishing, each participant is entitled to free beer and a bratwurst. The event features a festive Oktoberfest atmosphere with Oom-Pah-pah music. Tepeyolot Cerveceria Brewery will serve a special event-brewed Festbier.
The event encourages festive attire, suggesting traditional German outfits like dirndls for women and lederhosen for men. Awards and prize money are offered. In the 5K, the top three overall men and women receive cash prizes. Age-group awards are given for multiple divisions, from 10 and under to 80 and over.
The event uses chip timing with live results. Professional photos are taken at the finish line. Discounted entry fees are available for participants aged 17 and under or 65 and over for the 5K distance.
Registration and Logistics
