EvenSplits York 5k
The EvenSplits York 5k is a road race held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The event takes place on a flat cycle circuit, consisting of 5 laps to complete the 5 km distance. This monthly race series runs from February to November, providing a consistent venue for runners to monitor their progress.
The course is designed to be level and fast, held on a dedicated cycle track at Heslington East. The event is chip-timed and EA licensed, ensuring that results are official and compatible with the Power of 10 rankings. Participants receive their finish times via text message immediately after the race, while individual kilometre splits are made available the following day.
Facilities at the Race HQ include toilets, water, and distance markers along the route. It is important to note that the venue does not provide changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage. The entry limit is set at 200 participants. Runners who have a previously issued red race number from recent seasons may reuse it, otherwise, a number with an embedded timing chip is assigned at the first registration. Finishers are provided with a chocolate bar upon completing the race.
