EvenSplits York 5K
The EvenSplits York 5K races are held monthly from February to November at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The event is a chip timed, EA licensed road race of 5 Kilometres run as five laps on a flat circuit. The race is suitable for wheelchair competitors and has an entry limit of 200 places.
Results are sent by text as soon as participants cross the finish line and kilometre splits are published the next day. EA licensing means results appear on Power of 10. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
First time entrants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at both York and Leeds 5K events; this number is collected from Registration on first attendance. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; subsequent replacements incur a £4 charge.
Facilities at Race HQ, University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, YORK YO10 5FG, include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race organiser operates a strict no refund and no transfer policy. A place may be deferred once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
