Even Splits York 5K, University of York Sport Village
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The course is flat and run over five laps, covering a distance of 5 kilometres. Entry is limited to 200 places.
Races are chip timed. Results are sent to entrants by text at the finish, and kilometre splits are published the next day. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds 5K events; this number is collected from registration. Previously issued red 5K race numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be used again in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; further replacements are charged at £4.
Facilities at race headquarters include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The event notes suitability for wheelchairs.
Entry pricing includes fees and administration charges. Single race entry prices are listed for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, and multi-race race pass options are available for a series of events. Entry on the day is not available. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. Entries are non refundable and race places cannot be transferred.
