York 5K at University of York Sport Village
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly, chip-timed 5 kilometre road race held on the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit between February and November. The circuit is flat and is described by the organiser as suitable for fast 5K performances and for measuring month-to-month improvement.
The course is five laps, with a stated entry limit of 200 places and is noted as suitable for wheelchairs. The event is EA licensed and results appear on Power of 10. Runners receive a text with their finish time as they cross the line and kilometre splits are published the next day. A small finish item is provided to runners after the race.
Entry uses a reusable race number with an embedded timing chip issued at first registration; previously issued RED 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; additional replacements are charged at £4. Entry on the day is not available.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race administration notes that places may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day, and that entries are non refundable and non transferable.
