The Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course takes place at York Racecourse, Knavesmire Road, York YO23 1EX on Saturday 26th September 2026. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 2.5 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
Each lap is 2.5 km long. Laps and obstacle counts per distance are: 2.5 km = 1 lap, 15 obstacles; 5 km = 2 laps, 30 obstacles; 10 km = 4 laps, 60 obstacles; 15 km = 6 laps, 90 obstacles. Age categories are Adult (16+) and Child (5 to 15 years). Children must be accompanied by paying participating adults at a maximum ratio of 3 children to 1 adult.
Course and facilities
The course repeats the same inflatable obstacles each lap; examples include Start Mountain, The Crawler, The Vortex, Swing Shot and Temple of Doom. The event includes five music zones and a water station midway along the route. Toilets and food and drink vendors are available on site. Parking is charged at £5 per car. Bag drop is £3 per bag, with size limits and security searches. Dogs are not allowed. Spectators may use designated spectator areas only. Volunteer roles include a free run entry, a T-shirt and a tote bag. Recommended kit notes list sensible running shoes, a long sleeve top and a rain jacket if needed; sharp jewellery and sharp objects are not permitted.
