Event
The Sundowner Triathlon takes place on Saturday 12 September 2026 at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park, Melbourne Road, Pocklington, York YO42 4RL. The swim is in a shallow man-made lake with depths of about 5 ft to 7 ft and is sheltered from wind, producing flat water. The bike leg follows flat country lanes around the park and local villages; the course is open to traffic, is well signed, and is non-draft legal. The run is a flat trail route around the lake and is described as spectator friendly; the route avoids the canal tow path for 2026. Mechanical and medical support, marshals, and well stocked aid stations are provided on course.
Included on race day are a finishers medal, finishers T-shirt, chip-timed results, complimentary race photography, bike mechanic support, free on-site parking, toilets and changing facilities, and medical and emergency support. A cafe, family area, and camping on site are available; camping carries an additional cost through the venue.
