Sundowner Triathlon
The Sundowner Triathlon takes place on 12 September 2026 at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park in Pocklington, York. The event uses the park lake for the swim, quiet country lanes for the bike and a flat trail route around the lake for the run.
The swim is in a shallow man made lake with clear water and depths between five and seven feet, allowing entrants to stand in places if needed. The lake is sheltered from wind so conditions are typically flat. The bike course follows open country lanes that remain open to traffic, is well signed and is a non draft legal leg. The run follows a flat trail around the lake and has been adjusted to avoid the canal tow path.
