Even Splits York 5K (July 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit from February to November. The course is a flat road loop run over five laps, covering 5 kilometres. The event has an entry limit of 200.
Races are chip-timed. Results are sent by text as runners cross the finish line and kilometre splits are published the next day. Finishers receive a chocolate bar. A race number with an embedded timing chip is issued on first entry and can be used at both York and Leeds 5K events; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4.
Facilities at the event include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race HQ is University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, York YO10 5FG.
Entry options include single race entries and a race pass for multiple dates. Prices listed include race fees, card charges and administration. Entry on the day is not available. The organiser permits a single deferral to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. Refunds are not available and places cannot be transferred.
