Even Splits York 5K : University of York Sport Village
The Even Splits York 5K is held monthly from February to November on the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The course is a road circuit described as flat and fast, run over five laps for a total distance of 5 kilometres. The field is limited to 200 entries.
Races are chip timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text and kilometre splits are published the next day. Entrants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
Entry options include single race entries and a race pass that covers multiple events in the July to November block. Prices listed include race fees and charges. Entry on the day is not available. When entering for the first time runners are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at both York and Leeds 5K events. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race is listed as suitable for wheelchairs and the organiser has applied for a race licence. Deferral to the next race in the calendar year is permitted once if requested at least three days before race day. By entering there are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.
