EvenSplits York 5k
The EvenSplits York 5k is a road running event held at the University of York Sport Village. The race takes place on the venue's dedicated Cycle Circuit, which is characterized by a flat and fast profile. Participants complete 5 km over the course of five laps. The event is EA licensed, ensuring that results are officially recognized and appear on the Power of 10 rankings.
Timing is managed via an embedded chip system. Runners receive their results by text message immediately after finishing, and detailed kilometre splits are made available the following day. When entering for the first time, participants are assigned a specific race number with a timing chip that can be reused for subsequent races in the series at both York and Leeds locations.
The circuit is located at Heslington East and the event has an entry limit of 200 runners. Facilities at the Race HQ include toilets and water, though there are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage areas available on-site. Participants receive a chocolate bar upon completion of the race. Registration is open to both affiliated and unaffiliated runners, with the option to purchase single race entries or a multi-race pass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
