Event Overview
The EvenSplits York 5k is a series of monthly races held from February to November on the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The course is a flat, multi-lap road circuit, run over five laps to complete the 5 kilometre distance. The event is licensed by England Athletics.
Event Details
The race uses chip timing, with results sent by text message upon finishing. Detailed kilometre splits are published the day after the race. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish line. The event is suitable for wheelchair users.
Registration and Fees
Participants register in advance, as there is no entry on the day. A single race entry costs £10 for affiliated runners or £12 for unaffiliated runners. Bulk Race Passes for multiple months are also available. Upon first entry, runners are assigned a reusable race number with an embedded timing chip, valid for both York and Leeds 5k events. One free number replacement is allowed per 12-month period.
Facilities
