Event Overview
The Goole Riverbank Challenge takes place on Sunday 19 July 2026 in Goole, East Riding. This edition is scheduled to coincide with the Goole bicentennial celebrations. This multi-terrain race follows a single-lap course and has an entry limit of 350 participants. Interested individuals must register in advance as entries on the day are not available.
Course Details
The route is predominantly flat and covers a distance of 10 km. The course starts on the riverbank of the Ouse and passes through the village of Hook. Participants run around the Riverside Gardens bandstand before returning to the start and finish line along the riverbank. The terrain is varied and the event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Race Features and Facilities
The event provides chip timing for all participants. The race headquarters is located at the Westfield Banks Sports Complex in Hook, where facilities include toilets, changing rooms, showers, and baggage storage. Results are managed with the support of a specialist event medical team and on-course marshals. Free car parking is available close to the start and finish area.
Food and drinks are available on the day, and post-race massages are offered. Entrants receive a bespoke finisher's medal. Depending on the entry tier selected, participants may also receive a bicentennial technical T-shirt featuring local landmarks.
