About the race
The Goole Riverbank Challenge is a scenic, multi terrain race that follows the banks of the River Ouse. The route is predominantly along the riverbank with a short section on paths before returning to the riverside. Runners should expect undulating and varied terrain and only two road crossings, so most of the course is traffic free and offers open views and a peaceful riverside setting.
The event is presented as a 10K race focused on the experience rather than on producing personal best times. Every finisher receives a high quality medal, chip timing with live results and a personalised finishers certificate, water and refreshments at the finish, a unique keepsake, and a technical T shirt if selected at entry for an additional supplement. The published entry price for the race is £22.
After the race, the day continues at Goole Town Cricket Club in Westfield, Carr Lane, Goole, DN14 6NF. The programme at the club includes a children's fun run, food vendors, children's activities, live singers and bands, other entertainment and the cricket club bar open throughout the day.
