Yorkshire Wolds Ultra
The Yorkshire Wolds Ultra is a 54 km circular route that starts and finishes on the edge of Pocklington in Yorkshire, UK. The event listed for 25/07/2026 is the 4th edition, with entry prices from £47, and the field is sold out with no waiting list. Total climb is listed as 4,100 ft and the overall cut-off is 12 hours. Minimum age is 20.
The route visits the villages of Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale, Thixendale, Huggate and Fridaythorpe and follows less trodden trails, including hidden valleys and grass meadows. Navigation support includes a provided GPX file, mapper tracker links in multiple map types, yellow tape and large yellow correx signs at key junctions, and recce routes published in advance.
There are four staffed checkpoints with toilets and menstrual products; checkpoint nutrition is vegan friendly and gluten free. Checkpoint 3 offers drop bag access, tea and coffee, and phone charging. A drink only water station is listed at 32 miles. There are no checkpoint cut-off times; the overall pace-based cut-off requires roughly 3 miles per hour.
A live tracker is included via Open Tracking. Medal options are an eco-wooden medal, a wildflower seed medal made from recycled materials, or no medal with three trees planted instead.
