Yorkshire Wolds Ultra - Ultra Trails

This is a 54 km circular trail event starting and ending on the edge of Pocklington in Yorkshire. The route passes through the villages of Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale, Thixendale, Huggate, and Fridaythorpe. It has a total climb of 4,100 ft.

The event has a 12-hour overall time limit. There are four official checkpoints with toilets, food, and drink. The checkpoint locations are Bishop Wilton Village Hall, Kirby Underdale Village Hall, Thixendale Village Hall, and Huggate Car Park. There is also a water-only station. Spectator support is allowed at the four main checkpoints. All checkpoint nutrition is vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Participants receive a GPX file of the route for navigation. The event also provides yellow tape and signs at key junctions. A live GPS tracker is included with each entry.

Finishers can choose an eco-wooden medal, a wildflower seed medal, or opt for three trees to be planted instead. Tea, coffee, and a brownie are provided after the event. A technical tee is available as an optional purchase. Event photography is offered, with free downloads available after the race.

The event states it achieves an equal start line, with as many women as men participating. In past editions, almost half of the starters were first-time ultra runners.

Free parking is available at the registration location, Kilnwick Park Ground in Pocklington. Changing rooms, toilets, and showers are available on-site.
