Event overview
The Yorkshire Wolds Ultra is a 54 km circular trail running event on the edge of Pocklington, Yorkshire, on 25 July 2026. It is the fourth edition and entry fees start from £47. The overall event cut-off is 12 hours. The minimum age to enter is 20 years. Free parking is available at registration.
Route and support
The route visits the villages of Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Kirby Underdale, Thixendale, Huggate and Fridaythorpe and includes about 4,100 ft of climb. Navigation materials provided include a GPX file, plus yellow tape and large yellow correx signs at key junctions; the route is also available via the event tracker and in OS mapping on the tracker website. Live GPS tracking is included with entries using OpenTracking.
There are four indoor checkpoints with toilets and menstrual products; all checkpoint food and drink is vegan friendly and gluten free. One checkpoint accepts non-returnable drop bags and provides hot drinks, phone charging and bag drop. A water-only station is provided later on the route. First aid cover will be present. Dogs are not permitted and pacers or moving support are restricted by the event rules.
Finish and extras
Finishers choose an eco-wooden medal, a wildflower seed medal, or no medal with three trees planted instead. Event extras include optional technical tee, free event photography, and tea and cake at the finish. At least £3 of each entry fee goes to local charities and community projects.
