Event overview
The York 5K is a chip-timed road race held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The event runs monthly from February to November. The race distance is 5 kilometres, run as five laps on a flat circuit. The event is EA licensed and results appear on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text and kilometre splits are published the next day.

Online entry opens at 10:00 on 5 December 2025 and online entry closes at 10:00 on race day. Entry on the day is not available. The organiser applies a strict no-refund, no-transfer policy. A place may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
