Vale of York 5m & 10m
The Vale of York 5m & 10m takes place in Rufforth, North Yorkshire. The event features two road race distances held on a flat and traffic-free course. The route consists of a single lap through rural villages located west of York and east of Leeds. The race headquarters and parking are situated at Rufforth Airfield.
Participants can choose from two distances:
- 5 Miles
- 10 Miles
The course profile is flat and is considered suitable for wheelchairs. The event provides water stations, distance markers, and toilet facilities for all participants. There are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage available on-site. The entry limit is set at 800 participants.
All finishers receive a wooden medal manufactured in the UK. This choice is made to support local business and reduce the environmental impact of long-distance transport. In addition to the medal, water and chocolate are provided at the finish line. Results are licensed through England Athletics.
Registration options include race-only entry or a combined entry that includes a t-shirt. Different price tiers apply for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.
