The Leeds 5K on 22 July 2026 is organised by Even Splits and takes place at the Brownlee Centre, University of Leeds (Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA). The Even Splits Leeds 5K series runs monthly from February to November. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. The event has an entry limit of 200 places (199 remaining at time of listing). Entry fees are listed as: Leeds single race entry affiliated £10.00 and unaffiliated £12.00; Leeds Race Pass (Jul-Nov) affiliated £40.00 and unaffiliated £48.00. Entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip on first entry; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020-25 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; further replacements are charged £4. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.
Course and facilities
The course is 5 km, road, flat and run over three laps; it is marked as suitable for wheelchairs. The races are chip-timed, results are sent by text at the finish and mile splits are published the next day; results appear on Power of 10. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, no showers and no baggage store. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish.
