Event Overview

The Even Splits Leeds 5k is a monthly 5 kilometre race held at the Brownlee Centre on the University of Leeds campus. Races are scheduled from February through November. The event is a traffic-free run.

Course Details

The course is on the road and is flat. It consists of 3 laps. The event is suitable for wheelchair users. The race has an entry limit of 200 participants.

Event Features

The race is chip-timed and licensed by England Athletics, with results appearing on the Power of 10 rankings. Results are sent by text immediately after finishing, and mile split times are published the day after the race. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish. Distance markers and a water station are provided on the course. Toilets are available at the race headquarters, which is the Brownlee Centre. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store.

Registration and Timing

Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day. Entry on the day is not available. Participants are assigned a reusable race number with an embedded timing chip upon their first entry; this number can be used for both Leeds and York 5k events. Previously issued red race numbers from 2020-2025 can also be used. One free number replacement is allowed per 12-month period, with subsequent replacements costing £4. Places may only be deferred once to the next available race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before the event. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner.
