Even Splits Leeds 5K
The Even Splits Leeds 5K is a monthly, traffic free 5 kilometre race held from February to November at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. Races are chip timed and EA licensed, with results published on Power of 10. Runners receive a text with their finish time as they cross the line and mile splits are published the next day. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish.
The course is a flat road circuit completed in three laps. The event has an entry limit of 200 and is marked with distance markers. Facilities at the race include water and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race headquarters is at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA. The organiser has applied for a race licence and the event is suitable for wheelchairs.
First time entrants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at both Leeds and York 5K races; this number is collected from registration on the first attendance. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 can be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period, with subsequent replacements charged at £4. Entry on the day is not available. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds are offered and race places cannot be transferred.
