Event information
The Leeds 5K takes place at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds. The event distance is 5 Kilometres. Races are held monthly from February to November at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The course is on road, flat and run over three laps. The event is suitable for wheelchairs. The races are chip-timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text and mile splits are published the next day. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
Entry, facilities and rules
Entry is limited to 200 places; 120 places remain. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Single-race fees are listed as £10.00 for affiliated runners and £12.00 for unaffiliated runners; the prices include race fees, card charges and administration. First-time entrants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip to collect from Registration. Previously issued red 5K numbers (from 2020-24) may be reused if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4.
Facilities at Race HQ include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before the race. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
