Euchre Bar Massacre - October 10, 2026
Euchre Bar Massacre is a limited-entry fatass style trail run near Foresthill, California, with two distance options starting and finishing at Shirttail Creek Campground. The event follows routes along the Wild and Scenic North Fork of the American River and includes sections that are off trail.
Distances offered:
- 25 Miler with roughly 10,000 feet of climbing.
- 50 Miler with roughly 20,000 feet of climbing.
The course includes substantial bushwhacking and route finding. Named route features include Euchre Bar, Pioneer Mine, Ebeneezer's highway, Green Valley, Mumford Bar, and Italian Bar. There is one designated location for drop bags and crew that participants will pass twice. Maps are not posted until approximately the week before the event.
Entry is free and combined registration for both distances is limited to 50 participants to meet forest service conditions that no permit is required while the event remains small. Participants must remain at the finish area until at least one other runner arrives, per event rules. Last year’s finish times were about 14 hours for the 25 mile and about 25 hours for the 50 mile.
