Aid stations are located at miles 3.8, 10.5, 17.0, 20.9, and 25.6; they will provide water, sports drink, light snacks, and fruit.

The 13.1-mile course consists of two out-and-back loops with about 1890 ft of climbing. It is mostly single track with a short neighborhood road section. Aid stations are at miles 3.8, 4.8, and 8.7 and offer water, sports drink, light snacks, and fruit.

The 5-mile course is a single out-and-back loop of the first five miles of the half marathon and has about 704 ft of climbing. The route is mostly single track with a short neighborhood road section. There are no aid stations on this route; walkers are welcome.

Awards and community support

All participants receive a commemorative 16 oz cider glass. The first 200 registrants receive a BOCO trail running hat. Participants aged 21 and older may receive cider pours provided by Ponderosa Cider Company. Age-group awards are given for 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

The event’s Unity Initiative offers matched donation benefits for partner nonprofits. Donations may be matched up to $40 or 25% of the registration fee. Selected partners include Placer Food Bank, Sacramento Food Bank, CASA organizations, AcademySTAY, Sierra Club of California, Placer Land Trust, and the ACLU.
