Champion Mine Trail Race
The Champion Mine Trail Race is the second annual trail event held in Nevada City, California on October 11, 2026. The event is organized by the Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club and Bear Yuba Land Trust and supports trail work in Nevada County and the Mines to Pines trail project.
The courses start on Nevada Citys Broad Street and run through a mix of pavement, gravel, and single track trails. The half marathon route covers 13.1 miles and passes through towering pines, a historic swinging bridge, the Tribute Trail, and areas along Deer Creek. The course includes a newly constructed trail section, multiple aid stations, historical landmarks, and several climbs of varying length.
Organizers note that the race map will be published with corrected, easier to follow directions. A training group for the race will be announced next spring. Event locations and details are centered at 325 Spring Street, Nevada City CA 95959.
