Eton Dorney Family Triathlon
The Eton Dorney Family Triathlon takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor, providing a closed road environment for multisport racing. The event features junior racing alongside adult sprint distances, utilizing a flat and traffic-free course suitable for various skill levels.
Participants compete in an open water swim within Dorney Lake, followed by a bike leg on wide tarmac roads and a run on a spectator-friendly course. The venue is entirely contained, ensuring a safe setting away from public traffic for all athletes.
The event offers several individual and team categories for different age groups:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 19.5km bike, 5km run (Ages 15+)
- Sprint Relay: 750m swim, 19.5km bike, 5km run (Ages 15+)
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 9.75km cycle, 2.5km run (Ages 15+)
- Youth: 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.4km run (Ages 15-16)
- TriStar 3: 300m swim, 5km cycle, 2.4km run (Ages 13-14)
- TriStar 2: 200m swim, 5km cycle, 1.8km run (Ages 11-12)
- TriStar 1: 150m swim, 3km cycle, 1.2km run (Ages 9-10)
- TriStar Start: 100m swim, 1.5km cycle, 600m run (Age 8)
- Family Fun Triathlon: Non-competitive option (Ages 7+)
