EPIC Aylsham 5K

EPIC Aylsham is a town centre 5 km race with start and finish in Aylsham Market Place, NR11 6EN. Race numbers that were posted will arrive by post; others can be collected from 6pm at Aylsham Town Hall, the Race HQ next to the start line. Race numbers must be attached securely to the front of the running top because the chip timing is fixed to the number and it must remain visible during the race.

There is no race briefing on the evening. The route is multi terrain and has been officially measured by UK Athletics. Only the first 1 km is on closed roads. Subsequent road sections are on open, quiet residential streets; participants should be aware of traffic, keep to the side of the road, and follow marshal instructions. Some sections are narrow. Road crossings will be managed by CSAS marshals who will stop traffic to allow crossings.

Free car parking is available at Burgh Road Car Park NR11 6AJ, Bure Valley Railway Car Park Station Road NR11 6BW which closes at 9pm, and Buttlands Car Park 22 Mill Road NR11 6DS. Baggage drop is located at Race HQ. Only bone conduction headphones are permitted in line with UKA guidelines. Dogs are not allowed to join participants.

Finish facilities include an EPIC medal for entrants and water served in compostable cups. Public toilets behind the Town Hall will be open. Sponsors include Norfolk Homes and The Dashing Chimney Sweep.

Entry details apply per event, with chip timing and a bespoke race medal included. Entrants must be at least 11 years old and the races are UK Athletics affiliated.
