EPIC Aylsham 5K : Event overview
The EPIC Aylsham 5K is a town centre 5 kilometre race with the start and finish located in Aylsham Market Place, NR11 6EN. Race headquarters is at Aylsham Town Hall, adjacent to the start line, where race numbers collected on the evening may be picked up from 6pm. Race numbers posted are sent by Total Race Timing about a week before the event. All race numbers carry the chip-timing device and must be attached securely to the front of the running top and be visible while running.
The route is multi-terrain and has been officially measured by UK Athletics. Only the first 1 km is on closed roads; remaining road sections are on open, mainly quiet residential streets. Some sections are narrow; participants should keep a lookout and follow marshal instructions. Road crossings will be managed by CSAS marshals who will stop traffic to allow safe crossing.
Facilities and rules: a baggage drop operates at Race HQ. Only bone conduction headphones are allowed in line with UKA guidelines. Dogs are not permitted to join participants. Water in compostable cups and an EPIC medal are provided at the finish. Public toilets in the Market Place, located behind the Town Hall, will be open.
Entry and administration: the EPIC 5K series is UK Athletics affiliated. Entries include chip-timing and a bespoke race medal. Entrants must be at least 11 years old. Entry fees and transfer procedures are managed through Total Race Timing; entries are non-refundable. Free local parking options are listed by the organiser.
