EPIC Aylsham 5K
EPIC Aylsham 5K is a town-centre 5 km event with the start and finish positioned in Aylsham Market Place, NR11 6EN. The course is a multi-terrain route that has been officially measured by UKA. Only the first 1 km is on closed roads; subsequent road sections are on quiet residential streets and remain open to traffic, with runners asked to keep to the side of the road and follow marshal instructions. Road crossings will be managed by CSAS marshals who will stop traffic to allow safe crossings.
Race numbers are either posted to those who paid for postage or can be collected at Race HQ (Aylsham Town Hall). The chip-timing device is attached to the race number, which must be secured to the front of the running top and visible during the race. There will be no race briefing on the evening.
Facilities include a baggage drop at Race HQ, public toilets in the Market Place behind the Town Hall, and water served in compostable cups at the finish. Only bone conduction headphones are permitted in line with UKA guidelines. Dogs are not allowed to join participants. Parking options in town include Burgh Road Car Park (NR11 6AJ), Bure Valley Railway Car Park (Station Road, NR11 6BW) and Buttlands Car Park (22 Mill Road, NR11 6DS); the Bure Valley Railway car park closes at 9pm.
