Enjoy Your Life Happy Half Marathon & Friendly 5K
The event takes place on May 9, 2026 in Amesbury, MA at the Lower Millyard (22 Water Street). Two race distances are offered: a half marathon and a Friendly 5K. The half marathon is a large loop that passes through Amesbury, Newton NH and South Hampton NH. Most of the half marathon runs on paved, tree-lined roads; the course includes small rolling hills and a steady incline in the first three miles.
The 5K is an out-and-back route with a turnaround in the parking lot at Battis Farm. The half marathon course has three fuel stations located at about miles 3.5, 8.5 and 10.5 offering water and Gatorade. There is an on-course bathroom opportunity for the half marathon just before mile 4 in the South Hampton Fire Department parking lot.
Chip timing is provided by Bay State Race Services. Packet pickup materials are available the day before at Riverside Yoga. Participant items include an Enjoy Your Life windbreaker jacket for half marathon finishers and an Enjoy Your Life tech shirt for 5K entrants; all finishers receive a finisher medal and a complimentary beer for ages 21 and over. Awards are available by pickup at the High5EM pop up tent; top finishers are recognized overall and by age group, and top non-binary finishers are included. Amesbury High School Boosters is the main beneficiary for 2026.
Parking near the site is limited; additional overflow parking is available within a short walk. Dogs and strollers are allowed but must line up at the back at the start and dogs must remain leashed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
