The event is timed by Bay State Race Services. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Riverside Yoga in Newburyport. Course and logistics
The half marathon is a loop course with start and finish at Heritage Park. It passes through Amesbury, Newton, and South Hampton, New Hampshire. Most of the route is on paved, tree-lined roads. The course includes small rolling hills and one steady incline during the first three miles. Aid is provided at about miles 3.5, 8.5 and 10.5, offering water and Gatorade; an on-course bathroom is available near mile 4 at the South Hampton Fire Department.
The 5K is an out-and-back with a turnaround in the Battis Farm parking lot. Participants receive event apparel: half marathon entrants receive a windbreaker jacket and 5K entrants receive a tech shirt. All finishers receive a medal and a complimentary beer for those 21 and over. Limited parking is available near the race site; additional overflow parking is nearby.
