North York Moors Trail Runs
The Endurancelife North York Moors event on 24 Oct 2026 stages trail races wholly within the North York Moors National Park around Ravenscar. Courses use sections of the Cleveland Way and run across moorland and grassland on moderate terrain.
Distances include:
- 10K 8.0 miles, ascent 863 ft
- Half Marathon 15 miles, ascent 1,982 ft
- Marathon 26.5 miles, ascent 3,209 ft
- Ultra 34.3 miles, ascent 4,051 ft
The routes pass local features such as dry stone walls, disused railway lines and open moorland; Whitby Abbey lies a few miles away. The event records list historical finish times for men and women for each distance.
Practical information provided to participants includes online check-in approximately two weeks before the event, during which personal details and an emergency contact are confirmed and a mandatory safety video is viewed. Parking permits must be purchased online in advance; parking for up to one hour is free for drop-offs and collections. Entry prices range from £35 for the 10K to £71 for the Ultra. The event offers fully marked courses, electronic timing with split results, multiple on-site amenities, a finishers medal and an energy bar.
