North York Moors Coastal Trail Run : Ravenscar
The event takes place in Ravenscar wholly within the North York Moors National Park and uses sections of the Cleveland Way. Courses pass moorland and grassland and run past local features such as dry stone walls, disused railway lines and sheep on the moors. Whitby Abbey is a few miles away.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10K (8.0 mi), ascent 863 ft
- Half Marathon (15 mi), ascent 1,982 ft
- Marathon (26.5 mi), ascent 3,209 ft
- Ultra (34.3 mi), ascent 4,051 ft
The event is classed as moderate terrain. All entries include a fully marked course and electronic timing; on-site amenities are provided and finishers receive a medal and an energy bar. Runners who complete a distance at this event are awarded points toward the Endurancelife 26-27 Season Leader Board.
Registered participants will be asked to check in online around two weeks before the event. The online check in requests confirmation of personal details including an in case of emergency contact and requires viewing a mandatory event safety video. Parking permits must be purchased online before event day; short stay parking under one hour is free for drop-offs and collections. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
