North York Moors - Endurancelife
The North York Moors Coastal Trail Run takes place at Ravenscar on 24 October 2026. All routes are located wholly within the National Park and use sections of the Cleveland Way.
Courses run across moorland and grassland and pass features such as dry stone walls, disused railway lines and open moor. Whitby Abbey is a few miles from the event location. The terrain is described as moderate with notable ascent on the longer distances.
Distances and basic metrics:
- 10K - 8.0 miles, ascent 863 ft
- Half Marathon - 15.0 miles, ascent 1982 ft
- Marathon - 26.5 miles, ascent 3209 ft
- Ultra - 34.3 miles, ascent 4051 ft
This event is part of the Endurancelife 2026-27 season leaderboard and awards points based on performance. Registered participants will be asked to complete an online check-in about two weeks before the event; the check-in includes confirmation of emergency contact details and viewing a mandatory safety video. Parking permits must be purchased online in advance and participants should show their order confirmation on arrival.
