Emmy's Rustic Run : 10th Annual (Saturday, September 26, 2026)
Emmy's Rustic Run is a trail run and family fun day organized by the event founder's family in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The event supports research into ataxia-telangiectasia by donating all race proceeds to the A-T Children's Project. Ataxia-telangiectasia is described as a rare genetic disease that affects children and combines symptoms found in cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, cancer, and immune deficiencies.
The event offers on-site and virtual participation and includes multiple event formats:
- 5k trail run
- 1 mile walk
- Kids races for very young children, approximately 0.1 mi and 0.2 mi
- Virtual participation option
Registration typically includes entry to both the 5k and the 1 mile events. Walk-up registration and early packet pick-up are available, with limited t-shirt availability on race day. The event program often includes a pancake breakfast for which a small donation is requested. Dogs are asked to stay home for the weekend.
