ARKTOS : Chase The Sun
ARKTOS is a winter trail ultrarunning event held in Dousman, Wisconsin on February 27-28, 2027. The event offers timed trail running events on winter terrain, with trails that include frozen ground and a frozen lake, and conditions that can be cold and windy. Participants describe the community as uncommon and supportive, with runners putting themselves in potentially uncomfortable situations together.
Event formats:
- 6 hour ultra, solo or relay team up to 4
- 12 hour ultra, solo or relay team up to 4
- 24 hour ultra, solo or relay team up to 4
Entry fees are listed in tiered amounts. Solo fees are $70 / $85 / $95 for the 6 hour, $80 / $95 / $105 for the 12 hour, and $115 / $125 / $135 for the 24 hour. Team fees are lower and also tiered for each event.
On-course and race-day provisions include free bottomless coffee, tea, or hot chocolate (bring a cup), free warming shelters, and a free meal available during or after the race with vegan chili offered. Race items and giveaways include a wooden finisher medal, a race decal, an ARKTOS glowing wristband, and a race backpack giveaway.
