VyStar Emerald Trail 5K, 10K and One Mile
The VyStar Emerald Trail event includes a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, and a one mile event held along sections of the Emerald Trail in Jacksonville. All proceeds benefit Groundwork Jacksonville, the nonprofit partner building the Emerald Trail and restoring McCoys Creek and Hogans Creek.
The course uses the newly opened LaVilla Link and the S-Line Rail Trail. The 5K and 10K start together on West Church Street; the 5K splits at Blanche and Union to return to Church Street while the 10K continues on the S-Line and turns around at Boulevard Street before following the same finish route. The one mile starts at Lee and Church and finishes at the start/finish inflatable on Church Street.
Race services include chip timing with live results, custom event shirts and custom finisher medals for all participants, plus pre and post race activities. Awards are given for top overall and age divisions in both distances; specific age group categories are listed for the 5K and 10K.
Registration is offered online and in person at 1st Place Sports store kiosks. Entry fees follow tiered pricing and there are no refunds or transfers. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at two 1st Place Sports locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
