Ellington 4-Mile Run & Walk
The inaugural Ellington 4-Mile Run & Walk takes place in downtown Asheville on February 20, 2027. The event highlights Asheville’s historic buildings designed in the 1920s and celebrates the city’s Art Deco heritage and architectural history.
The main route is a unique four mile course in the downtown area that passes four notable local designs: First Baptist Church, Asheville City Hall, Asheville High School, and the S&W Cafeteria Building. The course begins and ends in the front parking lot of the First Baptist Church, the architect's first commission.
Two event options are listed:
- 4 Miles (entry fee $30.00)
- 1 Mile Fun Run (entry fee $20.00)
Registration opening and closing dates are provided for each event. The event description emphasizes community engagement, local history, and a focus on health and vibrancy in the downtown setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
