Ellesmere 10k Run
The Ellesmere 10k Run is a road running event held in the town of Ellesmere. It takes place on Sunday, 23rd August 2026.
The course is run on fully closed roads for safety. It starts and finishes on Scotland Street in the town centre, passing through a countryside section that includes the grounds of Ellesmere College. The route is described as a blend of fast sections and some small inclines.
There is one water station approximately halfway along the route, with additional water available at the start and finish area. Runners are encouraged to bring a suitable water bottle. The event has a 90-minute cut-off time; roads reopen according to this pace, and runners falling behind may be asked to withdraw for safety.
All finishers receive a medal and goodies. Awards are given to the top three male and female runners overall, plus seven age group awards for each gender.
The minimum age for participants is 15. Multiple car parks are located within a short walk of the start/finish area.
The event's official charity partner is The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
