Ellesmere 10k Run
Organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, the Ellesmere 10k takes place on 22 August 2027 in Ellesmere. Race HQ and the race start and finish are on Scotland Street in the town centre.
The event distance is 10 km. The course passes through the centre of Ellesmere, includes countryside lanes and the grounds of Ellesmere College, and features a mix of faster sections and some small inclines.
One water station is planned around halfway on the route, with additional water at the start and finish area; runners are encouraged to bring a suitable bottle. Finishers receive a medal and post race goodies. Music will play near the start and finish and a help desk will be available on site.
Roads on the course will be fully closed for the safety of participants and volunteers, with marshals in place. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed; suggested viewing areas include Scotland Street and High Street. Multiple town centre car parks are within a short walk of the start and finish.
The minimum age is 15 years. The event has a 90 minute race cut off. Awards include top three male and top three female plus seven age group awards for both sexes. The charity partner is the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
