Event Overview

The Eklutna IceBreaker is a trail run event held in March on the frozen shoreline of Eklutna Lake in Chugach State Park, Alaska. The event offers two out-and-back course distances: 10 miles and 20 miles.

Course & Conditions

The route follows a lakeside trail alongside the frozen lake. Participants should expect a variety of typical March conditions, such as packed snow, ice sheets, and muddy patches. The course plan is to use the lakeside trail primarily, but organizers may divert to an upper road/trail in sections if conditions are icy or unsafe.
