HARC Hike for Hunger and Hope
HARC Hike for Hunger and Hope is a non competitive, non-competitive fundraising event open to all ages. The event is a fully supported hike held on the C&O Canal towpath and offers two distance options.
- 5 K (3 miles)
- 10 K (6.2 miles)
The towpath is described as beautiful and flat, providing a scenic nature setting. Along the route participants can expect snacks and water and Gatorade refills. After the walk, a communal lunch is provided for participants to share with fellow hikers.
The event includes fundraising prizes: an award for the top fundraising individual, an award for the top fundraising team, and a prize drawing open to anyone who does fundraising. Registration by May 10 provides a $10 discount and a guaranteed t-shirt; t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after May 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
