About the race
The event on March 28, 2027 takes place at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, VA, and offers three distances that run along the Rappahannock River on a paved park trail. The course follows the river, includes a few small hills, and is suitable for walkers and strollers.

- 10 km (runs the 5 km course twice)
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Amenities for in-person participants include a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. Water stations are placed approximately at mile markers 1 and 2.1 on the 5 km, and at mile markers 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2 on the 10 km; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the parking area inside the park.
Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration is offered; shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race-day registrants. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to age-group finishers by standard age ranges; overall top three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. The race benefits Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. Live results are posted during the event and final results with series points are published the following Monday.
