Eastbound Half Marathon & 5K Trail Race
The event offers two trail running distances at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. The course is singletrack with more than 1,000 ft of elevation gain. The half marathon consists of two laps of the East Main loop. Aid stations are located on course; one aid station offers hydration only and another offers hydration and food or snacks.
Registration fees and key deadlines are published for both distances: pre-registration and day-of registration prices differ, with the last day to pre-register on October 29, 2026. Race shirts are guaranteed to entrants who pre-register on or before October 19, 2026. Finisher medals for the half marathon are awarded to runners who register on or before September 21, 2026. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in age-group categories: 14 and under, 15–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50, 51–60, and 61 and better.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for October 30 at the South Conference Center, with day-of packet pick-up also available. All participants must complete the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver can be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site and is not included in online registration. Registration is non-refundable.
Trails remain open to other users during the event; runners should communicate when passing. E-bikes and other powered transportation are not permitted. Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine, and the Whitewater Center may alter, reschedule, or cancel events. Parking fees apply at the Center. In an emergency, participants must call 911; the Center does not conduct trail rescues. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
