East Leake 'End of Season' Triathlon
The East Leake End of Season Triathlon is a late season multisport event held at East Leake Leisure Centre, Lantern Lane, East Leake near Loughborough, postcode LE12 6QN. The programme includes triathlon, aquathlon and aquabike races, young competitor categories and relay team options for families, clubs and corporates.
The swim takes place in a 4 lane, 25 m pool over 400 m. Swimmers are grouped into small waves, count their own lengths and exit through the marked fire exit to a 150 m run to transition. There are no pool changing facilities at the exit. The bike is a 22 km on road out and back route described as undulating and is not on closed roads. The run is a 5 km route on mixed surfaces, organised as three one mile laps on pavement and hard pack bridle way.
Event services include a fully marked course, professional chip timing and online results, a safety crew and medical team, independent sports retailers, a food vendor and barista coffee, toilets with baby changing and disabled facilities, and spectator friendly arena access. An eco friendly finisher medal is provided. Prizes are awarded in overall and age group categories and for aquabike and aquathlon winners.
