About the race

Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 and is organised by Charity Link. The event is a hike or run through the Charnwood countryside that starts and ends within Beacon Hill Country Park and visits the summits of Beacon Hill, Bardon Hill and Old John in Bradgate Park. The route covers *approximately 16 miles* across varied countryside and public parkland. The challenge is held each September and was launched in 2016; since then participants have raised over £116,000 for the charity. Proceeds from the event are used to buy essential items for local people in need, including food, clothing, beds and cookers.

The 2025 edition involved 120 participants and raised over £18,000; finishers in recent years have received medals, certificates and goodie bags. Participation requires purchase of a place through the organiser and completion of a registration and disclaimer form. All participants are asked to read the event health and safety information provided by the organiser. Entry for this year’s event closes on Wednesday 16 September. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
