Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge (27 September 2026)
Charity Link’s Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge is a walk or run through the Charnwood countryside held each September to raise funds for people in hardship. The route covers approximately 16 miles and visits the summits of Beacon Hill, Bardon Hill and Old John in Bradgate Park. The course starts and finishes within Beacon Hill Country Park.
The event raises money to buy essential items such as food, clothing, beds and cookers. Since the challenge began in 2016, participants have raised over £116,000. Recent events raised notable sums, including over £18,000 in 2025 and over £14,000 in 2024. Previous editions have included attendees with dogs and have provided finish-line items such as medals, certificates and goodie bags.
Registration requires purchasing places through the organiser’s online shop and completing a registration and disclaimer form; all participants must complete this form. Entrants are asked to read the event Health and Safety Information Sheet. Registered challengers receive further information and updates by email as the event approaches. Entry for the 2026 event closes on Wednesday 16 September. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
