About the race
Equinox24 is a multi-format running event held on the Belvoir Castle estate in Leicestershire. The core course is a mixed terrain 10 km loop that runs past lakes, through wooded sections, over hills and across open fields, with a mix of on- and off-road surfaces and some uneven ground. The final section passes the camping field and spectator areas. The course capacity is designed to avoid narrow single-file sections.
Event formats include:
- 24 hour run for solo runners or relay teams of 2 to 8
- 6 hour run
- Day 10 km
- Night 10 km
The night and unlit sections require a head torch or torch after dark. Age minimums apply for specific events: 18 years for the Night 10 km and 6 hour races, 15 years for the Day 10 km. The aim in the 24 hour event is to complete as many laps of the 10 km loop as possible; teams must never have more than one member on the course at the same time and use a wrist band as a relay baton. Runners must complete at least one lap to receive a medal.
Onsite camping is available for competitors and spectators with toilets, hot showers, food and trade stalls, a bar, massage, sauna and cold plunge. Bell tents can be hired, pre‑booked in sizes for up to 4, 6 or 8 people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
