Participation and race format
Minimum age on race day is 17 years for the Half Marathon and 4 years for the Mini Marathon. Children under 11 in the Mini Marathon must run with a registered adult. There is no upper age limit.
The course is described as undulating, mainly on roads, with some rougher and uneven sections. There are 4 water stations roughly every 3 miles, each with toilets, plus medical support along the route, at the start, finish and in the Race Village. All finishers in all races receive a medal.
The route is fully marshalled, and there is on-course entertainment. Half Marathon participants have pacers every 5 minutes between 1:20 and 2:30, plus a 3:00 pacer. There is a cut-off of about 4 hours after the race starts, after which some runners may be asked to move to the path. Results use chip timing, appear online within minutes of finishing, and are later confirmed as official. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
