East Haven Community Classic
The East Haven Community Classic is a community running event centered at the East Haven Town Green on Hemingway Avenue in East Haven, CT. The main competition is a 5K road race on a largely flat, fast course that passes through residential neighborhoods and the East Haven business district, including sections by Town Hall and the historic Old Stone Church. Proceeds from the event benefit the East Haven Police Athletic League, which supports local youth sports programs.
Packet pick-up is available in advance at Marathon Sports in Branford and there is same-day packet pick-up on race morning. Registration is handled through the event's online portal only. Streets along the course will be closed during the event and will re-open on the race morning.
Entry fee structure includes early and late pricing for the 5K, a reduced fee for participants 18 years and under, and group discounts for small teams. A separate fee applies for the kids fun run. Awards are given to the first overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, top age-group finishers across standard ranges, top non-binary finishers, and all 5K finishers receive a finisher medal.
